TOUR MANAGER:

Martin trained and worked as a professional tour manager and started his career leading tours to the Nordic countries, Russia and the Baltic States and eventually covering most of Europe. He returned to New Zealand in 2003, worked in tertiary education management and completed a PhD in academic quality assurance in higher education in 2023. Whilst at Victoria University of Wellington, Martin devised and led 6 innovative study tours for their Continuing Education department, including to Siberia and Scandinavia. He has visited over 60 countries and is delighted to be able to lead the Calder and Lawson Central Asia tour in 2026.
