The West Coast is legendary for its diverse and untamed natural wilderness; from the alpine peaks of the Southern Alps, to the temperate rainforests of the National Parks and the wild coastal landscapes. In fact the 600 kms of breathtaking scenery has been described as one of the top 10 coastal drives in the world but on this tour, you wont just drive this coast, you will explore it in depth.
The forests and lagoons are home to endemic birds and creatures such as White Heron (Kotuku), kiwi and tuatara. On this comprehensive tour, its not just the spectacular scenery and flora and fauna that will enchant you, but also the stories of its rich mining history, from the pioneers of the gold rush to those who exploited the rich seams of coal.
The Coasters are a welcoming people and you will delve a little deeper into the illustrious tales of the area. There’s a lot to see on the West Coast, come with us and experience it.
