Immerse yourself in this ancient land by experiencing the natural wonders of the Red Centre. This is a land of colour, rich red ochre cliffs and rocky gorges, brilliant green waterholes and the startling white of the ghost gums. At the major sites of Uluru and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), a knowledgeable guide will give in-depth interpretation of these special places. You will also walk in the West MacDonnell Ranges and Kings Canyon. With two guides looking after you, you can choose easier or harder options along the way. The basic but comfortable accommodation means you can relax and fully enjoy the colours of this extraordinary landscape. After six days of walking, you will have time to explore Alice Springs and perhaps take a balloon ride before returning home. This short break will give you a real change of scene and respite from the New Zealand winter.
