The Taranaki region has really starting to get ‘on the map’. A thriving contemporary arts scene, prolific gardens which are showcased in the annual Taranaki Garden Festival, but worth a visit year-round, and a community of local artisan food and beverage producers making anything from gin to coffee to grass fed Angus beef. On this tour you will get a taste of the best of Taranaki: embarking on a food trail; visiting local gardens with an expert guide; seeing the kinetic sculptures of Len Lye plus the outstanding Tawhiti museum in Hawera. You will stay in the same hotel for your entire tour so minimal packing and unpacking will be required. Jenny Newby Fraser will be your tour manager.
