Antarctica is unlike anywhere else on Earth, a spectacular wilderness of vast glaciers, sculpted icebergs, penguin colonies and whales. With nine days to explore the Antarctic Peninsula and surrounding islands, this extended expedition allows more time to discover the remarkable variety of this remote region.

Your journey begins in Buenos Aires before flying to Ushuaia to board your purpose-built HX expedition ship and cross the legendary Drake Passage. In Antarctica, each day is guided by the weather, ice and wildlife, with opportunities for shore landings, small-boat cruising and activities such as kayaking or snowshoeing.

Explore the wildlife-rich South Shetland Islands and, conditions permitting, venture towards the dramatic Antarctic Sound and remote Weddell Sea, known for its immense tabular icebergs and links to Ernest Shackleton. Along the western Antarctic Peninsula, discover spectacular waterways surrounded by snow-covered mountains and glaciers, with opportunities to spot penguins, seals, whales and seabirds.
