Cruising the South Island December 2019

Don’t leave home until you’ve seen the country! This ten night cruise on a small Coral Expedition ship received a lot of positive feedback when we offered it several years ago. The ship will return to New Zealand in 2019. If you haven’t seen the dramatic scenery of the South Island by sea, this is a great opportunity. Begin in Queenstown before joining your ship in Milford Sound and cruising in Fiordland National Park. Be awestruck by the towering peaks of Doubtful and Dusky Sounds, where marine life frolics in the cool waters. Then visit the renowned wildlife area that is Stewart Island, where in the company of expert local guides you will encounter New Zealand’s native birdlife. Discover Dunedin’s fascinating Scottish heritage and the French ambience of Akaroa. In Kaikoura join a whale-watching cruise, and follow in Captain Cook’s footsteps in the Marlborough Sounds. Your tour concludes in Wellington.
